It’s that time of the year again. Melbourne will be flocking to Spensley Street Primary School on Saturday 22nd October for the much-anticipated Tempting Fete from 10am-4pm, the sweetest treat this Spring for all kids big and small!

Grab your friends and family and join us for a great day out with second hand stalls, awesome bands, live entertainment, live auction hosted by Dave O’Neil and Dylan Lewis, kid activities- did someone say ‘hit the jaffa!!’, delicious food, craft stalls and so much more. Come on down...Rain, Hail or Shine!!!

Spensley Street’s Tempting Fete is on from 10am to 4pm, Saturday 22nd October show casing lots of tempting treats for everyone - with delicious food, awesome live music, fabulous stalls filled with second hand and newly crafted goodies, plants, entertainment, auctions and games. There really is something for everyone!

Come early for the bargains, pull up some shade and grab some refreshments then stay for a great day. The day kicks off with the school band, orchestra, Spensley St Singers and Wednesdays Choir followed by an all-day music line-up showcasing a host of amazing local talent. Go blues, roots and folk with Dave Sheehan, Barb Waters and the Fitzroy Idols and Bob Keith & Band. Listen to some great and eclectic harmonies with Manchoir and Ice Haloes. Bop along with family favourites All Day Fritz and amp up the energy with Baby8 and Oolluu. The finale will be the The Great Spensely Street Dance Competition hosted by Chris Gill (RRR, Northside Records) and Chris Brown.

Seriously funny local celebrities, comedian and writer Dave O’Neil (Spicks ‘n’ Specks, Tractor Monkey) and TV & radio personality Dylan Lewis (NOVA breakfast) will be getting the crowd going for the not-to-be-missed silent and live auctions from 1:20pm. Dave and Dylan are guaranteed to entertain and auction some fabulous items – check out Spensley Street Primary School on Facebook for a complete list of what is up for grabs. So, sharpen your pencils people, Christmas is coming!

On the Courtyard Stage, students will be making their own fun. Watch as kids get bent out of shape at the live Speed Cubing Competition – yes, the Rubik’s Cube is baaaack -  rounding out a packed day full of underage entertainers.

As always, Kid’s Activities feature and this year there’s twenty-three people-powered choices on offer. Choose from five zones of fun for children of all ages – pick up a wristband for a great value day. Cult favourites include the amazing Box Maze, Flight Simulator and Pirate Pit. There’s horrifyingly real Gory Gashes + Grazes, selfie central at the Photo Booth, a chance to make a mini-terrarium and Mini Golf. Fancy a change of pace? Try the Cinema, Giant Chess or the Artspace.

There’s more sweet treats for every taste bud with delicious Pickles + Preserves, Cakes, an incredible range of goodies for Christmas shopping list from the SSPS Crafters, and the ever-popular Plant Stall. There’s a tempting array of second hand stalls for all those who love to pick. The Trash N’ Treasure, Toys, Books and Vinyl Store will join the much-anticipated Pre-loved Clothes – be early to get the sweetest treats!
