The Castlemaine Farmers' Market that is located in the centre of the Historic Township has more than 40 quality stallholders showcasing produce from Central Victoria. The Market sells locally grown and made produce where the growers/producers actually sell the product themselves. The aim of the Castlemaine Farmers Market is to encourage and support small scale farmers and producers in the region and to encourage consumers to buy ‘Local’.

Seasonal fruit (including apples, berries and stone fruits that Harcourt is famous for) & vegetables

Local bread and baked goods from dedicated bakers

A range of delicious cheeses (try the goats cheese and wonderful blues), prosciutto and smoked sausages

Award winning olive oil from specific olive varieties

Wines – Shiraz is famous in the area but there are other varieties made by prize winning vignerons

Organic pork and beef that has exceptional flavour – and a dedicated following

Plants, including herbs & heritage seeds

Honey – specific flavours from a range of local flora

Chutneys, jams and preserves from local ingredients

Live chooks and free-range eggs
