The community run Coal Creek Farmers Market commenced in October 2010.

There is a great mix of seasonal produce available, and it will change every month depending what's growing in Victoria. Come along and support local growers.

Every month you'll find:
Local and organic vegies, fruit, herbs, nuts, free range eggs, locally caught fish, olives and olive oil, wine, honey, sourdough breads, preserves, chutneys, jams, goats cheese, roses, fresh pasta and plants.

As Summer unfolds there'll be more of a range of produce each month plus meat, dairy and smallgoods around the corner.

The current mix of stallholders are from Lang Lang, Mirboo Nth, Kardella, Allambee South, Grantville, Loch, Thorpdale, Bena, Leongatha South, Koonwarra, Yarragon, Fish Creek, Warragul, Jindivick and Dalmore.

The market also invites other farmers from further afield who need us to support the rest of Victoria too. To kick off there is amazing citrus from the Fisher family at Narrung on the Murray River, who are prepared to travel to sell their produce themselves.

Why a stall from so far away? Have a look at the fine print on an orange juice carton while we go on glugging down imported juice, Riverland citrus growers are ripping out their trees. This is a great way to support them.

You can also help by asking for Victorian produce at local shops, restaurants, cafes and supermarkets. Many stallholders are willing and able to supply because we all shop more often than Saturday mornings at farmers' markets; and if we support other businesses, they'll support us!

BREKKIE
The market is establishing an all-day brekkie stall which will be manned by volunteers and other community groups. Enjoy local produce thanks to Kitty and Dennis Muir's sausages and bacon from the Korumburra Butcher, fresh bread from Burra Bakery, eggs from Phil and Anne Westwood.

COMMUNITY
Each month there is a community stall selling local produce and baked goods.

CWA groups, schools and other community groups are welcome to join the roster and have a fundraising stall for their projects.

The market is fortunate to have fantastic local sponsors Burra Foods, Carmen's Muesli?Ķand the support of the Korumburra Business Association so they hope you'll support them too.Spring produce included spuds and asparagus from Warragul, goats cheese from Korumburra, sourdough bread from Yarragon, roses from Bena, organic asparagus from Dalmore, handmade preserves from Koonwarra, mixed vegies from Lang Lang & Allambee South, wine from Leongatha South and Kardella, free range eggs from Grantville, olives & olive oil from Fish Creek, fresh pasta & vegies from Thorpdale South. And that?Äôs just the beginning because as the season unfold we can look forward to berries, stone fruit, apples, free range meat, fresh fish of the day and even a dairy stall so we can buy local milk!

The Coal Creek Farmers?Äô Market has a Victorian Farmers?Äô Market Association accreditation - a guarantee that stallholders grow or make the goods they sell and that the quality of produce is of the utmost importance. Applications are always welcome from prospective stallholders who meet the criteria (genuine producers only; no re-sellers).

The Farmers?Äô Market will be held in the main carpark and picnic area with ample parking just metres away. Please tell your friends, family and neighbours and support our local community.

The market will be plastic bag free, so please bring your own bags.
